2 months old

Nora was two months old yesterday. How did that happen? I admit that her first 4 weeks were a hormone filled, sleep-deprived, over-stressed whirlwind. Now we are finally hitting a bit of a stride and my beautiful 2 mnth old daughter is doing great.

Poor baby had to endure 3 shots at her check-up today. I have never heard Nora scream like that...ever. Luckily it was right around feeding time and the comfort of the boob was all she needed. She proceeded to sleep the morning away in her carseat while we attended Will's t-ball game, then she slept almost all afternoon, was up for about two hours, slept from 6:00-7:45pm, woke up to nurse and now she is asleep again (at 8:15pm).

All around she is right on track. The doctor was very impressed with her head and core strength and how alert and social she was. We confirmed that mommy and Nora have somewhat matching birthmarks on our heads (hers will thankfully be covered by hair as she grows--mine not so much), and that she has a probable mild case of torticollis. We are going to keep an eye on it the next month or two but I remember some of the therapy that we had to do for Drew so hopefully that will help.

She is a healthy 11 lbs and 22 1/4 inches long--both 50th percentile. For the past week or so she has been sleeping from around 8 or 8:30 until 3am and then going back down until between 6 and 7am (sometimes 8am if we are lucky). She is such a joy in our lives.
