Opening Day

Tonight was Will's first official TYMBA baseball game.  After two weeks of practice, the Mets took on the Cardinals and boy was Will excited.

Unfortunately, the weather was less than cooperative...

...see the dark sky in the background??  The kids played for about 15 minutes before they had to call a rain delay on account of thunder, lightening and a brief shower of hail, yes, hail.  We all ran to our cars and waited about 10 minutes until it seemed to move off into the distance.  I had to leave early with Nora and on the way home, it began thundering and storming again so the game didn't last too long.   I don't think Will cared too much.  He was thrilled to be in a line-up and to have his two best buddies bat before and after he was at bat.  Baseball season has begun!
